Getting Ready For National DIY Day on CBS Los Angeles

As you may (or may not) know, National DIY Day is April 2nd! It is a day to celebrate creativity while also giving back to the community. I work with a company called Craftbox Girls, who created National DIY Day, and it is our mission to not only inspire YOU to get creative, but to provide children with adequate craft and school supplies. So, we are teaming up with Adoptaclassroom.org to support their mission to get craft and school supplies back into the hands of teachers nation wide.

We will be having digital celebrations all throughout the day on April 2nd, and we also want to see what you are doing to celebrate! So, get a group of friends together, your kids, or even enjoy some creative alone time, and share with us what you have created using the hashtag #nationaldiyday! I had a blast doing some early morning crafting on the local CBS station here in Los Angeles. I made beautiful DIY Faux Flower Floral Lanterns, and you can make them as well. They are perfect for a gorgeous tablescape if you are entertaining, throwing a party, a baby shower, a bridal shower. The colors can be adapted to fit whatever color scheme you are working with.
